What to do after a liposuction procedure to get the best results
March 28, 2019Hi guys, this week I want to start by talking about a conversation I had with one of the ladies I met last Saturday, a sweet woman from Vienna, Virginia who is going for a liposculpture procedure today… which prompted me to share this, in case you will be having liposculpture or liposuction in the near future.
There are some important things to be said about this (not to technical, but very important) to get the shape we desire. After the procedure, the doctor will have you wear a compression garment for at least 1 month, but the more you wear it the better it is (at least six months) as often as possible! The fact is that the procedure itself produces a swelling and inflammation due to the trauma caused by the liquid injected inside the skin along with the cannula which goes inside the skin to extract the unwanted fat deposits. That is why it is critical to use the garment in order to create that pressure in the tissue and get rid of the swelling in the area you had liposuctioned. Besides the garment, you will need to go for massages to help reduce the hardness on certain areas of the skin, also important for releasing from the area you were treated, the accumulation of liquids that were injected for the procedure and also because the massage will model your desire shape. I know it is an extra expense but is worth every penny!
Then, then the next thing you need to have in mind is, a lifestyle change beginning with a proper and healthy diet just like when you start going to the gym, where the trainer will tell you exercise goes with diet. Well, here is the same, you need to get into new eating habits to get there! And finally, is the exercise factor, yes, exercise, it does not have to be a strenuous discipline at the gym, but going for long walks, biking or perhaps running from time to time.
It all takes an effort that cannot be solved with just a quick fix. It goes a little beyond in order to get to your goal!
