Is it possible to have surgery and go on tours?

June 1, 2019

Hello guys, many people have this same question when it comes to planning their medical vacation….”is it posible to have surgery and go on tours?”  And the answer is almost  always yes!  In most cases it is possible to go and sightsee in the country you are visiting.  If doing it after your surgery , just take it easy.  Mild exercise is usually o.k. (not too long walks) and avoid being exposed to the sun or heat.  Why this? Because if you have incisions, you must avoid heat and sweating that can cause infections.  Also, swimming will not recommended for the same reason.  You must allow your body enough time to recover from your plastic surgery procedure (usually between 2 to 3 days following surgery) and when it feels right to you, ask your plastic surgeon if it is possible for you to go on a tour.  It’s always nice to combine plastic surgery with a little bit of tourism.  If you are careful enough to follow the doctor’s instructions you will have an awesome time enjoying either the amazing landscapes of the rainforest in Costa Rica or the Tequila town and beautiful museums in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Luckily I found a couple of pages which have incredible information about tours in either countries and also people who can answer all the questions you have about making the arrangements for this dual – purpose medical vacation.
