Little items in your medical journey can help you save big bucks

May 13, 2019

Hello everybody! This time I am going to give you some tips about where you can save big bucks while planning everything for your medical vacation.

When you start the process of choosing the country where you are going to have your dental , medical or plastic surgery procedure, there are many little details that you might not consider could count, and they do, when it comes to the big savings!

Have you ever considered the cost of medications in the country you are traveling? Perhaps, is the doctor/ plastic surgeon including this cost in his total price for the surgery? Well, if the answer is no, then you should start asking the doctor if you could get those medications at home from your own physician.  This would include antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medications, and mainly pain killers.  In the long run this could be a good idea anyway because these are medications that you are used to, plus the fact of big savings ‘cause these little things could add to your bill. Of course my advice is always to please ask the doctor first for his approval.

Now, you can also ask the doctor if you can bring from home your blood work and EKG. Why not, if you can get them free at home, these are more savings to your final bill.

In the end, I am saying all of these through a testimonial from a former patient I met last week  from Albany, New York who did the homework and she told me she ended up saving big money in her medical vacation, which at the end was the purpose of her trip.

Carefully read all the information you receive from your doctor’s office and ask them how you can bring some items from home to help you save money!

Here are my recommendations of people who have an understanding and information about your medical journey either to Costa Rica or Mexico.  These counties are main destinations and I recommend they should be high on your list:
